DEVELOPMENT OF DELHI - VADODARA EXPRESSWAY PROJECT PACKAGE- I & II

(From Km 0+000 Sohna-Gurugram Road (NH-248A) near Alipur Village to km 47+000 near Khanpur Ghati, on EPC Mode under Bharatmala Pariyojana in the State of Haryana.)

The project is a part of 1350km long, longest, busiest, Delhi-Mumbai Expressway which is an ambitious project for fast movement of freight from JNPT to industrial hubs of Northern part of India. Fully access controlled, 8-lane divided expressway is a Green Field project. It involves construction of 3060m long elevated viaduct including 72m long ROB, 2 Flyover, 3 Major Bridges including a 68 m long steel concrete composite Bow String, 21 Minor Bridges, Entry and Exit Ramps, 11 VUPs, 25 SVUPs and 7 LVUPs & 4 Interchanges.

For elevated viaduct, 4-span continuous module having spans of 30m length, PSC, pre-tensioned girder with deck continuity are provided. At obligatory locations 60m Simply supported Steel concrete composite I girder type superstructure is provided. In both the cases girder are connected at top with cast-in-situ RCC deck slab. Total deck width of superstructure is 21.25m for each carriageway with minimum radius of curvature as 1600m. Spherical fix/free/guided bearing are provided below end diaphragm to transfer the loads to substructure and foundation. To support wide decks inverted T-shape PSC pier cap is provided. Since clear height of pier is varying from 2m to 17m, therefore RCC circular pier with diameter varying from 2250mm to 3000mm are provided. 1200mm dia bored cast-in-situ piles with RCC pile cap is provided as foundation system. Number of piles below each pier varies from 6 to 9 depending upon height. Independent structure is provided for two carriageways separated by 12.5m wide median.

For ROB 72m long steel concrete composite Bow String type superstructure is proposed. 2-legged portal pier having 1.5m deep portal beam and 3mx2m rectangular column is proposed as substructure. 1200mm diameter bored cast-in-situ piles are proposed as foundation.
